Pearl of the Indian Ocean: A 7-Day Sri Lanka Journey with Hyperport DMC
Sri Lanka compresses a remarkable diversity of experiences into a teardrop-shaped island smaller than Ireland. In seven days, your clients can walk through UNESCO World Heritage cities, sip freshly-picked tea in misty highlands, encounter wild elephants on safari, and fall asleep to the sound of Indian Ocean waves. This Hyperport DMC itinerary is designed to show clients the full range — without ever feeling rushed.
Sample 7-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Colombo Arrival & Fort District
Arrive in Colombo, Sri Lanka's vibrant capital. Transfer to a boutique heritage hotel in the Fort district. Evening walk along Galle Face Green, cocktails at sunset overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Day 2 — Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Dambulla Cave Temple
Early departure to the Cultural Triangle. Climb the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress — a 5th-century palace rising 200 metres from the jungle — for panoramic views across the island. Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, with its extraordinary ceiling murals and gilded Buddha statues.
Day 3 — Kandy & the Temple of the Tooth

Day 4 — Tea Country: Ella & Nuwara Eliya
Take the iconic train journey through the tea highlands — widely regarded as one of the world's great rail experiences. Arrive in Ella: hike Little Adam's Peak, cross the Nine Arches Bridge through lush jungle, and dine at a tea estate restaurant with valley views.

Drive to Udawalawe for a full-day safari. The park is home to one of the highest concentrations of wild elephants in Asia, alongside leopards, water buffaloes, and hundreds of bird species.
